Portfolio
Small Bright Pebbles
- Web Design
Small Bright Pebbles is a trivia blog created and written by me. Designing for a personal project has allowed me to work with a colour scheme not commonly found in blog interfaces.
Get Up! & Conservation Council of Western Australia
- Illustration
I was commissioned to produce a series of black and white illustrations for an online campaign promoting marine reserves in the south western region of Western Australia.
Brochure design: Harvest Festival
- Illustration
- Print Design
Typography and illustration were used to create a folk-art, homespun style for a Community Harvest Festival brochure.
Dr Richard Eccleston
- Web Design
The client is a lecturer in Political Science who wanted a website to showcase his research, teaching, publications and media appearances. New content is added regularly and he wanted to easily make updates himself. To achieve this I created his site using WordPress as a content management system (CMS).
Tasmanian Cricket Centre & Bikram Yoga Studio
- Print Design
The clients wanted promotional flyers for special offers to attract cricketers to use both services over the winter months.
Marine animal illustrations: PEW Australia
- Illustration
I was commissioned to produce illustrations of marine animals endemic to the south west marine region of Western Australia for the publication Protecting Western Australia’s Big Blue Backyard.
PEW Australia: Save Our Marine Life
- Print Design
I produced a range of promotional and campaign materials for PEW Australia’s Save Our Marine Life program using their existing brand identity.
Joule Logic
- Web Design
The client, a company in the renewal energy sector, wanted a single page website to promote their services.
Postcard design: Bikram Yoga Studio
- Illustration
- Print Design
The client wanted a postcard which could be distributed free to cafes, bookshops and other places to promote his yoga studio. He also wanted the class schedule and pricing information printed on the back of the postcard. The brief called for an experimental, bold use of typography, and some layered collage elements in the illustration.
Blue Rocket Productions
- Animation
- Illustration
Between 2007 and 2009 I was employed as a Character Animator and Illustrator with Blue Rocket Productions on their two seasons of the cartoon show Pixel Pinkie.
Christmas e-card
- Illustration
A digital Christmas card I designed and illustrated, for sending to friends and clients.
Hobart Optometry
- Identity
The client required branding which would appeal to the aged care sector, its clientele and their families. The design brief also stated a need for company stationary to stand out, particularly amongst the high volume of paperwork seen by aged care workers.
Rees Pagh Studio
- Web Design
The clients are a husband/wife team, architect Bevan Rees and artist Yvonne Rees-Pagh. The website highlights the creative crossover between visual arts and architecture. The design challenge was to showcase each principal’s separate body of work while making clear connections between the two.
Logo design: The Club, Festival of Voices
- Identity
Tourism students operate a club venue at the Festival of Voices. They requested a logo in the Festival colours, to be reproduced on wine labels, wine glasses, banners, stationery and embroidery for staff uniforms.
Brochure design: Young Performers Awards, Symphony Australia
- Print Design
The brief called for a design which would be appealing to young, classically trained musicians. The client wanted a departure from designs of previous years, in which photographs of musical instruments had been a recurrent theme. Instead, I chose to emphasise the sense of performance: creativity, excitement and anticipation.
Brochure design: Ispahan Podiatry
- Print Design
The client wanted a promotional brochure which emphasised professionalism and warmth. I chose to feature a watercolour painting of the Practice (commissioned several years ago by the previous owner).
