Brief:

The clients are a husband/wife team, architect Bevan Rees and artist Yvonne Rees-Pagh. As well as concentrating on their individual careers, they do a lot of collaborative work.
The website design highlights the creative crossover between visual arts and architecture, along with a broad portfolio of work past and present. The design challenge was to create a site which clearly presented each principal’s separate body of work while making clear connections between the two.

Brief:

The brief called for a design which would be appealing to young, classically trained musicians, while keeping the final artwork fresh and dynamic.
The client wanted a departure from designs of previous years, in which photographs of musical instruments had been a recurrent theme. Instead, I chose to emphasise the sense of performance: creativity, excitement and anticipation.

The client wanted a site to promote her business, which offers administrative support services. She wanted the design to be clean, with a simple colour pallette reflecting the logo.
As well as providing the website design, I advised the client on the presentation and style of information to best promote her services and to encourage prospective clients to read further and visit more of the site.

Tourism students operate a club venue at the Festival of Voices. They requested a logo in the Festival colours, to be reproduced on wine labels, wine glasses, banners, stationery and embroidery for staff uniforms.

Brief:

A personal project involving two designs for a conceptual winery, Dolphin Sands. The image on the left shows a design for a budget range, incorporating gold lettering and a silver dolphin; the image on the right shows a design for a quality, boutique, smaller production range.

Brief:

The theme for the event was Fire and Ice. I chose to interpret the theme by displaying Tasmanian tourism icons playfully and to dynamic effect through the use of a dramatic colour pallette and a juxtaposition of illustrations, photographs and textures.
On the front cover, Tasmanian tourism landmark Cradle Mountain is capped with snow while awash with a fiery sunset. A design feature is a board game inside the program, which I chose to emphasise the playful nature of the design and the tourism focus on exploring Tasmania.

Brief:

A website design concept for a Southern Tasmanian apple producer expanding its operations to include tourism and dining. The title banner recreates the graphic style of apple packing crates of the 1930s, while the colour pallette emphasises the heritage values actively promoted by the client.

Brief:

To create a website promoting Skirt’s performances at the Vienna International Women’s Arts Festival, 2006. The collective wanted a website which reflected the collaborative and experimental nature of their work; the feminine and secretive aspects of the Under-Coat performance art piece they were taking to Vienna; historical links to Europe combined with the “mysteries” of the Antipodes which were instrumental to this work.
Skirt was scheduled to open the festival with their street performances, and the website was to be a companion piece, eventually incorporating a webcam recording the artists as they performed. Regrettably, Skirt had to withdraw from the festival due to lack of funding.
